The American Chamber of Commerce for Luxembourg is hosting a town hall meeting style debate featuring candidates from six of the parties vying for seats at the forthcoming parliamentary election.
Amcham says the idea behind the debate, similar to those it has held ahead of national and local elections in previous years, is to allow candidates to “briefly present their political parties, their vision for Luxembourg and their view on the role of the international community in Luxembourg.”
Party representatives at the table include François Bausch from déi Gréng, Simone Beissel from the DP, Sven Clement from Piraten Partei, Franz Fayot from the LSAP, Laurent Mosar from the CSV and Roy Reding from the ADR.
Their presentations will be followed by an interactive discussion, including questions from the audience, on the subjects of greatest interest to the foreign community.
The town hall meeting takes place at ING Lux House (26, Place de la Gare in Luxembourg City) at 7 p.m. on 27 September.
Entry to the event is free of charge to both members and non-members--Amcham sees the debate as a public service--but registration is required via the Amcham website event page.
