Delivery from Letzshop.lu is free on all orders placed until 30 September 2018
Luxembourg’s answer to Amazon went live on Friday with around 100 shops posting more than 350,000 items for sale on Letzshop.lu.
From guitar strings to foie gras and make-up to mustard, the ecommerce platform reflects the variety of Luxembourg’s retailers as well as showcasing some of the country’s more high-end product such as food and wine.
Secretary of state for economy Francine Closener (LSAP) described the site as offering a benefit for both the customer and merchant. “Everyone therefore benefits from digitisation, which makes it possible to boost the national retail trade,” she said.
Customers ordering from the site can either personally collect their purchases in store or have them delivered. Delivery is free on all orders placed until 30 September 2018.
Luxembourg businesses must pay €500 per year to post their products on the platform. Interested retailers should email firstname.lastname@example.org to find out more.
