Love is a golden retriever who accompanies senior citizens in a care home in Heisdorf. Each day he provides social support for up to 100 people within the Maredoc centre.
Love was obtained through the proceeds of a bottle top collection campaign, “E Stopp fir e Mupp” organised by Amicale vun der Schoul fir Assistenzhonn (ASA), waste association Valorlux, and sorting company Hein Déchets.
In 2018 alone, some 180 partners including schools, communes and companies helped collect 52.3 tonnes of plastic bottle tops, equivalent to €15,690 in funds for the project.
