Instead of spending your days watching your social media feed grow, spend them watching plants sprout by using this time to plant your own.
March is an ideal month for planting seeds to grow indoors (you never know when it will snow again in Luxembourg). And now that you have plenty of toilet roll, you can use the paper tubes from the inside to make your own planters.
Just cut the tubes in two, make 4 incisions around the base of each tube and overlap the four flaps.
Most supermarkets sell seeds so you should still be able to get hold of these. If you’re not very greenfingered, among the easiest to vegetables to grow are radish, carrots and tomatoes. Don’t forget to water your nursery and place it in a warm sunny spot.
Of course, you’ll have to transpose your seedlings into larger pots but the beauty of the toilet paper planters is that they are biodegradable so you can plop them straight into a new pot and place them outside once they are big enough.
