The Rotondes crew has struck again with 3 pairs of tickets for the upcoming Shannon Wright show to give away to our readers.
American guitarist, pianist, and singer-songwriter Shannon Wright (photo Jason Maris) has been making “emotional, intense, iconoclastic” music since the late ‘90s on albums like “Let in the Light”. Bandcamp has labelled her a “musician’s musician” who has worked with legendary names like Steve Albini and pianist Katia Labèque as well as scoring the Guillaume Nicloux film “To the Ends of the World” (trailer contains nudity).
She comes to Rotondes on the back of new album “Providence”, which was released on 14 October in France where Wright has a solid fanbase. The solo vocal and piano songs on the album have been described as haunting and cinematic, brooding and gothic. Judge for yourself on lead track “These Present Arms”. If that’s your sort of thing (and it certainly is ours), then enter our contest below to win a pair of tickets.
