Photographer Raymond Reuter’s photos of everyday life in the grand duchy are on show in Remich right now.
Two years ago photographer Raymond Reuter launched a new book of his impressions of the grand duchy and those who inhabit it. “Gens de Luxembourg” capture people in their environment, revealing the uniqueness of everyday life. He carefully avoided people and situations that are usually the subjects of photographers—politicians and media stars--to highlight “familiar heroes”. Our photo by Christophe Olinnger shows visitors admiring the photos at an exhibition at the Valentiny Foundation in Remerschen in 2018.
A selection of photos from the book are currently on show at the Remich bus station on the “Esplanade” in the Moselle town. Author Claude Frisoni posted a short video on Facebook.
The fascinating book, which has texts by Frisoni that have been translated into English, is still available from bookstores or directly from Raymond Reuter’s website here.
